Powellpalooza!

So, as promised in the last post, here are a few pics from my families visit last week. What a fun week full of activities!

Here is a break down of our Spring Break Extravaganza...aka Powellpalooza :)

Saturday: Troops arrive in the late afternoon and we head to Taco Mac for a mess full wings.

Best wings in Atlanta by far.

Sunday: Take fam to Buckhead Church early service

Head to Turner Field for tailgating and baseball

Powell Kids plus Neil

Monday: Head to Roswell for a wonderful lunch at The Fickle Pickle and a little shopping

Girls spend the evening at Sips n Swirls...now renamed Canvas by U

enjoy our silly lunch photo shoot :)

Tuesday: Wake up early and head to the Atlanta Zoo. I now realize that the majority of the Zoo pics are on Scouts camera. Oh well :(

Charlie's favorite part of the Zoo was the kiddie land train ride :)

A little back yard fun! Lacrosse and flips :)

Wednesday: Aquarium day!!! Charlie loves the big fish...but don't take him through the tunnel!

Love this video :)

Thursday: Lazy day! A little grocery shopping and packing.

We head to live after 5 in Roswell for dinner and browsing.

Friday: Head to the lake house for Easter weekend.

(Mom...did we even take pictures)

It was so great to have Petey, Scout and Zebby around for an entire week!

Love to you all!

What A Difference 6 Months Makes!!!

Last week my family came to town for the kids spring break. We decided to turn it into a little staycation and went out and about in ATL all week (more on this later...waiting for some pics).

I did come across a pic taken at the Atlanta Zoo that was all to familiar to a pic taken at "Boo at the Zoo" 6 months ago.

Quite a change, don't you think!?!

Love to you all!

Afternoon on the Square

Yesterday the sun came out, the temps were in the 80's and this family finally got outside. I love spring in Georgia, but man can the weather be erratic!

We decided to take Charlie down to the Marietta Square for some train spotting. We can hear the train from our back yard, and Charlie gets excited every time the whistle sounds. He even says "choo choo" with the arm motion.

While waiting for the real train to come through town, we visited some shops and then headed over to the playground in the square. Charlie loved the train slide!

We walked around the fountain

And then we heard the train whistle and made a b-line to the train tracks!

The size, speed, and loud noises scared Charlie a bit, but he was still intrigued.

We ended our afternoon with pizza at the Marietta Pizza Company. The breeze felt great so we even got to eat outside. What a perfect little afternoon!

Here is a video of Charlie and the train slide.

Love to you all!
