CR Sing Alongs :)

Growing up I remember having a number of sing along videos. My favorite was "Sing Along with Uncle Remus"! haha This video featured such classics as "Blue Bird On My Shoulder" and "Always Let Your Concience Be Your Guide".

Lately I feel as if I have a constant live performance of sing alongs right at home. CR is quite hillarious with all of his little dittys, and CR2 enjoys every second. We have songs for just about every task during the day.

For example, When CR changes CR2's diapers he sings the following to the tune of "She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain":

Clean the pee pee off the pee pee (CR2) man
Clean the pee pee off the pee pee (CR2) man
Clean the pee pee off the pee pee
Clean the pee pee off the pee pee
Clean the pee pee of the pee pee (CR2) man

And when CR2 is having tummy issues (this happens quite often) we hear the following to the tune of "Now Walk It Out", a popular rap jingle:

"Now poop it out, poop it out, now poop it out......." over and over!

CR believes that this song aids in relieving constipation.

When Poppins (CR's dad) comes over we really hear some fun ones. I feel that some of the lyrics are too explicit, and these jingles will have to come to a hault real soon. hahah!

Watching a father with his newborn is a beautiful thing. CR2 has definitely made CR turn to mush! What a pair!

Big Changes!!!

As I was laying CR2 down to sleep the other night, CR said "Don't you think he is a little big for the napper?" The napper is a cozy little attachment on our pack-n-play that we have been using since the beginning. Right beside the napper we have a changing table attachment which makes middle of the night diaper changes oh so easy! I took a look at my sleeping child and noticed that he does fill out the napper from top to bottom.
It is so hard for me to grasp the idea that CR2 is no longer the tiny little guy that we brought home from the hospital! While I love watching my baby change a little everyday, it is insane to think that he is 10 weeks old tomorrow. The infant stage is slipping through my fingers and there is nothing I can do about it.

CR laughed at me when I stated that I may not be able to wait 3 years for number 2! That was our original plan, but I guess we will just have to see what happens ;) I mean of course I will wait at least 1 year! And it would be nice if some best friends of ours (Mel and Jabrone, I am talking to you) would adopt the idea of starting a little family of their own! haha

I have agreed to start using the crib...in the nursery...GULP :( when we move into our new home. That's right, we will be closing on our first home this Friday!!! I am so excited to break open a can of paint and start making that house our home! Vonnie (my aunt) will be coming down to help us with the beginning stages of our move, and my mom and brother will come down at the end of the week to help us move furniture. We figured that it would be a good idea to put my 14 year old brother through some child labor! hhaha! He may be 14, but he has the muscles of an 18 year old!

Although we are looking forward to the big move, it is bittersweet. We have the best neighbors at our complex, and afterall we have lived here for 4 years. Big yellow (you should see the owners paint choice - yuck!) has been our home from the start of our journey in Atlanta and it will be quite strange to leave! I just keep telling myself...4 bedrooms and no more Hot Point appliances! We have a gas stove in our new house and I am so excited to use it! We also just purchased a new fridge, washer and dryer, and most exciting a BEDROOM SET!!! I feel like an adult now! Well, not really...sometimes it still feels like we are playing house :) My mom said that feeling did not leave her until her mother passed away. I do not wish to know this feeling and am so blessed to have my mom on the other end of my cell phone at least twice a day!

So there you have it! Big changes for this little family! Oh yeah...I will be turning 27 on Sunday. Closer to 30 than 20! BOOOOO!!!!

All Because of CR...and CR2

Well blogger world, here I am. After months of my husbands persistance I have finally decided to start a blog of my own. I have always loved to delve into others blogs, and have found much inspiration, laughter, and delight in my daily readings.

As he watched me write bulk emails to family and friends during the weeks of my pregnancy, CR (my husband), would often say "JP, why don't you start a blog". My mother (who will also be referred to as Petey...I'll explain later) chimed in with similar suggestions. My nightly reading of one of my favorite blogs sparked yet another conversation last night. Again...Mr. Persistant asked the same damn question, "Honey, why don't you blog?" I traced my feelings of hesitance to a not so pleasant experience. While in college I lived with two females, one of whom remains my best friend to this day, and the other, who in a fit of anger ended our friendship on one note. That note was a blog entry.

I lay awake thinking about this situation and how if I were to start a blog, would I to be capable of possibly hurting someone I cared about. I will not dive into all the details, but to me it all boils down to discretion. This ex-friend had no filter when it came to expressing her inner most thoughts. I also thought about purpose. If I choose to write a blog, what is my purpose?

So here I am...exposed for all to read. In my writings I plan to share snippits from my everyday life; a life that consists of a wonderful husband (CR), a beautiful baby boy (CR2), two rediculous cats (Bobby and Mischa), and the thoughts that enter this head of mine. I am so excited to archive special memories for my little family, and at the same time keep those I love up to date. So dive in and enjoy if you will. I will try to keep it interesting, a maybe a little witty ;)
