We celebrated Mother's Day at the Jarrett House in Dillsboro, NC with my family last Sunday. It was the perfect way to end a very fun but hectic weekend. We all met around 1:00pm and sat down for a lovely family style southern meal!
CR2 proved to be quite the entertainer! He scaled his way through the dining room holding onto the rungs of all the chairs, he tried his first pot roast and snacked on some green beans, he even got the attention of my brother Tyler. Tyler has Ausberger Syndrome, which is a mild case of Autism. He is not always the most social bird in the room, but is quite the ham when somthing (or someone) brings him joy. CR2 had quite the effect on Tyler! They were laughing and jumping around, and even had a little photo shoot. It was so refreshing to catch a glimpse of joy on Tyler's face. I unfortunately let frustration get in the way of our relationship most of the time. It really is amazing how someone so small can have such a pull on an entire room of adults!
CR2 also shared some quality snuggles with my grandmother, Mamadele. This is one amazing lady! Please keep her health in your prayers.
On our way back to Atlanta we stopped at the Jaemor Produce Market. We see this place everytime we make the trip to Waynesville, and finally decided to stop. I picked out some fresh produce and jam, and we even had some homemade strawberry ice cream! Quite the Mother's day treat!
It was a very special Mother's Day and I look forward to many more! What a blessing!!!
Love to you all!
